St. Andrew's Community Centre Renewal

May 2019 Update

The construction of the new St. Andrews Recreation Centre is moving forward!

The construction fence around the site is planned to go up the week of May 6, followed by mobilization and interior demolition work. Only approved personnel are allowed access to the site during the duration of the demolition and construction of this building.

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. will oversee the demolition and construction of St. Andrews. Hours of work are typically 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Weekend work may be required due to weather or schedule delays, to keep the project on schedule.

With the utmost safety in mind, jersey barriers (and other measures) will be put in place to ensure safe traffic flow in and out of Alta Gymnastics Club, which operates on the same site as St. Andrews Recreation Centre.

The new facility will be inclusive, welcoming, and an exciting new addition to our current 68 Parks and Recreation Facilities across the municipality.

Check back here for continued updates on the project, or visit www.halifax.ca/recreation and follow municipal Facebook and Twitter pages.
