  • September is National Guide Dog Awareness Month as well as Service Dog Awareness Month. Guide dogs are specially trained to guide people who are blind or partially sighted. Service dogs are specially trained to assist individuals with disabilities with everyday activities like carrying or retrieving items, ringing doorbells, assisting with balance and stability, alerting or responding to seizures or diabetic episodes and other tasks. We want to know what your level of understanding is around guide dogs and service dogs on transit.
