What to Expect

You will receive an email inviting you to participate when new surveys become available. You can select which types of surveys you would like to be notified about, and from there decide which surveys you want to participate in. Most surveys will take 5-10 minutes of your time.

  • Under the new 2021-22 Student Transit Pass Pilot Program, students from four local high schools will be provided with a free annual transit pass to use on all Halifax Transit conventional buses, Access-A-Bus, and ferries during the 2021-2022 school year. 

    Participating schools and grades are:

    • Prince Andrew High School – Grade 10-12
    • Dartmouth High School – Grade 9-12
    • École du Sommet – Grade 9-12
    • École Mosaïque – Grade 9-12

    The pilot program was inspired by transit agencies across Canada and was approved by Halifax Regional Council on May 18, 2021. Pending an evaluation of this pilot, the goal of the program is to offer unlimited access to transit service for students from all high schools that can be accessed by public transit.

  • Dans le cadre du Programme pilote de laissez-passer de transport en commun pour étudiants de 2021-2022, les étudiants de quatre écoles secondaires locales recevront un laissez-passer de transport en commun annuel gratuit qui sera utilisé sur tous les autobus conventionnels, Access-A-Bus et les traversiers d’Halifax Transit au cours de l’année scolaire 2021-2022. 

    Les écoles et les classes participantes sont les suivantes :

    • École secondaire Prince Andrew — de la 9e à la 12e année
    • École secondaire Dartmouth — de la 10e à la 12e année
    • École du Sommet — de la 9à la 12e année
    • École Mosaïque — de la 9e à la 12e année

     

    En attendant une évaluation de ce programme pilote, l’objectif est d’étendre le programme à toutes les écoles secondaires accessibles avec le transport en commun.
